🏝 The archipelago consists of four main islands:
- Madeira is the largest and main island;
- Porto Santo – known for its long sandy beaches;
- Desertash and Selvagensh are two uninhabited islands.
✈️Airports in Madeira
The island has one international airport, Funchal Airport, located near the capital, Funchal. It is often called one of the most dangerous airports in the world, but experienced pilots successfully provide comfortable flights.
The archipelago also has an airport on the island of Porto Santo – Porto Santo Airport, which serves local flights.
☀️ Climate
Madeira has a comfortable climate all year round - the average temperature varies from 18°C in winter to 25°C in summer, making the island ideal for a holiday in any season.
