🔹 The Grand Canal is the main waterway of Venice. Along it are famous palaces: Palazzo Barbaro, Palazzo Cavalli-Franchetti, Ca' d'Oro and Palazzo Grassi. Most of them now operate as museums.
🔹 The Rialto Bridge is the oldest and most famous bridge over the Grand Canal. It is a true engineering masterpiece of the 16th century.
🔹 Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo - with a unique spiral staircase in the shape of a snail shell - a place that is definitely worth seeing.
🔹 Piazza San Marco is the heart of Venice, one of the most beautiful squares in the world. It is home to St. Mark's Basilica with its golden mosaics, the Doge's Palace and the St. Mark's Campanile, which offers an amazing view.
🔹 The Bridge of Sighs is a white baroque bridge with romantic details, one of the most popular for photos.
🔹 Libreria Acqua Alta — this bookstore is a true paradise for literature lovers. The books here are stored in gondolas and bathtubs, which gives the place a unique charm.
🔹 You can't visit Venice and miss Caffè Florian — the oldest cafe not only in Italy, but in the whole world! Opened in 1720 on Piazza San Marco, this place has become a favorite among the local elite and guests of the city. Legendary personalities such as Giacomo Casanova, Charles Dickens, Marcel Proust and even Goethe once drank coffee here.
